ready for a harvest
Along the highways in south Karnatakas's countryside, a ready paddy crop paints a golden picture, quite in irony to the condition of the farmers who grow them.

While it's quite a punishment for the animals, it is one of the few things the farmers and villagers call entertainment...loads of country made liquor (toddy), ofcourse, adds to the fervor.
